Winterize your Fleet
Wednesday, November 9, 2016
Fleet maintenance is important throughout the year, but it’s especially critical as we head into winter. To avoid delays, hazards, and emergency repairs, make sure your vehicles are road ready with these steps:
o Inspect tire pressure and tread.
o Replace wiper blades and use washer fluid that won’t freeze.
o Equip vehicles with emergency kits, in case of a problem.
o Maintain full gas tanks to avoid condensation in the fuel tanks. If water vapor is drawn into the fuel line, it can freeze and prevent the engine from starting.
o Check the battery and consider replacing batteries older than three years.
o Ensure heating elements are functional and well maintained.
Fleet Care is standing by to help you winterize your fleet and provide emergency roadside assistance, just in case.
